  • Honkai: Star Rail's version 3.6 is scheduled to launch later this month
  • Back to Earth in Nevernight arrives on September 24th
  • The update brings two new characters, fresh story events, and a challenging high-difficulty trial

As we approach the weekend, many players are likely searching for the latest updates on their favorite games. While you'll need to wait a bit longer for Honkai: Star Rail's version 3.6 update "Back to Earth in Nevernight," the wait won't be long—it's coming sooner than you might expect.

Fans can dive into the new content before the month ends, as Back to Earth in Nevernight is confirmed for release on September 24th! The update introduces a brand-new storyline where you'll confront Miss Evernight and witness Dan Heng's return to Amphoreus.

Version 3.6 will let you encounter familiar characters in unexpected ways, with the five-star Ice character Evernight and Dan Heng (Permansor Terrae) joining the playable roster (which we've ranked in our tier list). Players at level three or higher can recruit Heng for free during a limited-time event.

In addition to new story content and characters, the update introduces a recurring high-difficulty challenge called Anomaly Arbitration. Making its debut in this version, it features three trial stages followed by a final stage. The trial stages require you to assemble three separate teams to tackle them, so it's wise to prepare your strongest Honkai Star Rail F2P teams if you're not a heavy spender.

Completing the trial stages advances you to the final stage, and clearing all stages rewards you with a new item called an Interference Key, along with other valuable loot. Other events include the Dromas-raising activity "Nice Weather for Dromases" and the chaotic "Colorful Mayhem."

Additionally, the update adds a main story replay feature, allowing you to revisit completed Trailblaze missions, continuities, and freely rewatch specific story segments or cutscenes.

These features provide compelling reasons to return to Honkai: Star Rail when the update goes live. But if you're looking for entertainment right now, consider exploring our picks for the top five new mobile games to try this week!
