Once Human 2.0 Adds New Mode and RaidZone Details

Given its popularity for NetEase, it's no surprise that expansion is a priority for Once Human. The survival PvE shooter is getting its most significant update yet with the shift to version 2.0, introducing a brand-new mode that will test even the most experienced players.

The update's flagship feature is the Endless Dream mode. In this PvE scenario, you're plunged into a new, even more surreal version of the Once Human world. The entire map is accessible from the start, with familiar areas split into Dream Zones and Nightmare regions, each presenting unique challenges.

This means facing additional environmental dangers, being cautious of the new Confusion status effect, and confronting enemies like Light Dreamers, Deep Dreamers, and Eternal Dreamers. You'll also have the freedom to shape the terrain and construct buildings anywhere without land restrictions. Your success in cleansing the nightmares will influence the dynamic progression and lead to multiple endings.

When dreams become nightmares

Even if you're a fan of the standard Once Human gameplay and only plan to sample Endless Dream briefly, there are plenty of incentives to explore it. You can take part in the Annual Version 2.0 events and complete tasks for various rewards, including Lightforge Ingots. Plus, you can collect extra items through the Dreamland Wonder mini-games and other missions.

Finally, for those eagerly awaiting the more Rust-inspired Once Human: RaidZone, the spin-off now has an official release date of July 30th.
