Set in the futuristic year of 2091, *Killing Floor 3* unfolds in a stylized dystopia where the mega-corporation Horzine has unleashed a variety of bio-engineered monsters known as ZEDs. These creatures range from traditional zombies to more unique types like the terrifying Siren, which can extend its cybernetic neck and unleash a devastating sonic attack.

In the game, players take on the role of Nightfall, a rebel faction fighting against Horzine and its monstrous creations. The Closed Beta's trailer hints at an overrun research facility as one of the settings, promising close-quarters combat in chaotic environments. Players will have a range of weapons at their disposal, including traditional firearms, an explosive grenade launcher, a grappling hook, futuristic swords, and even environmental hazards like lava traps.
