Today marks the global release of Alphadia III on Android, the latest installment in the acclaimed Alphadia series. Brought to you by publisher KEMCO and developer EXE CREATE, the game initially launched in Japan back in October of the previous year.
Set in the year 970 of the Alphadian calendar, Alphadia III plunges players into the climactic phase of the Energi War, a fierce struggle over a mysterious life force known as energi. The world is divided among three major powers: the Schwarzschild Empire in the north, the Nordsheim Kingdom in the west, and the Luminea Alliance in the east, all vying for control.
As the world teeters on the brink of collapse, the narrative focuses on a clone soldier named Alfonso. His journey begins when a girl named Tarte brings him the news of another clone's death, sparking a pivotal moment in his life.
Alphadia III retains the series' hallmark turn-based combat, presented in a classic side-view pixel art style. The game introduces various systems to enhance the tactical depth, including SP Skills that charge during battles and can dramatically shift the tide of combat when used strategically.
Another key feature is the Arrays, which are essentially battle formations and strategies that players unlock as they progress. These arrays offer diverse approaches to combat, tailored to the challenges faced.
A novel addition to the series is the Energi Crock system. Players can deposit surplus items into the Crock, which over time, generates Energi Elements. These elements can then be traded at exchange shops for equipment or other valuable items.
Throughout the game, players will encounter various groups, such as the peacekeeping alliance Deval, and elite units like Rosenkreutz from Nordsheim. Different energi clone models also feature prominently, with Nordsheim deploying the Berger Series and Schwarzschild utilizing the Delta Series.
In addition to the main storyline, Alphadia III offers a wealth of side content, ensuring a rich gaming experience. The game is optimized for controller use, making it an ideal choice for a wide range of players. You can download Alphadia III from the Google Play Store for $7.99, or opt for the freemium version with ads.
