Get ready for some thrilling demon hunting as Netflix unveils its much-anticipated anime adaptation of the beloved video game series, Devil May Cry. Fans have been treated to a tantalizing new trailer, and the excitement doesn't stop there. The legendary late voice actor Kevin Conroy will posthumously lend his voice to the series, adding an extra layer of intrigue and nostalgia to the project.

Kevin Conroy, renowned for his iconic portrayal of Bruce Wayne and Batman in numerous animated films and TV shows, takes on the role of VP Baines in this new series. His voice can be heard at the start of the trailer, marking another posthumous performance following his acclaimed role in Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths: Part 3 in July 2024. Conroy's untimely passing in November 2022 at the age of 66 left fans mourning, but his enduring legacy continues to shine through his work.

Joining Conroy in the cast are Scout Taylor-Compton as Mary, Hoon Lee as White Rabbit, Chris Coppola as Enzo, and Johnny Yong Bosch, who voices the protagonist Dante. The official synopsis teases a gripping plot where "sinister forces are at play to open the portal between the human and demon realms. In the middle of it all is Dante, an orphaned demon-hunter-for-hire, unaware that the fate of both worlds hangs around his neck."

The series is under the creative guidance of showrunner Adi Shankar, known for his executive producing roles on films like the 2012 Judge Dredd reboot, Dredd, Brad Pitt's Killing Them Softly, and Ryan Reynolds' The Voices. Shankar is also attached to an upcoming Assassin’s Creed adaptation, though its long-awaited release remains uncertain.

Production is in the capable hands of Studio Mir, the acclaimed South Korean studio behind hits like The Legend of Korra and X-Men ‘97. Devil May Cry is set to premiere on Netflix on April 3, 2025, promising fans a thrilling blend of action, mystery, and the supernatural.
