King of Fighters ALLSTAR to End Service in October 2024

Netmarble has announced the unexpected closure of its popular mobile beat 'em up ARPG, King of Fighters ALLSTAR. The game, which has run for over six years, will officially shut down on October 30th, 2024. In-app purchases have already been disabled.

The announcement, made via the official Netmarble forums, cites a depletion of characters from the King of Fighters franchise to adapt as a contributing factor to the closure. While this is likely not the sole reason, it offers some insight into the decision. The game's long run and numerous collaborations with other fighting game franchises made the news surprising to many players.
