Kingambit Joins Pokémon Go in Crown Clash Event Next Month

As you gear up for the Sweet Discoveries event, Pokémon Go is sharpening its blades for the upcoming Crown Clash event, and the timing couldn’t be more regal. From May 10th to 18th, you’ll have the opportunity to evolve the mighty Kingambit, don a crown or two, and hunt for shinies, all while earning bonus XP just for evolving.

Kingambit, the Big Blade Pokémon, will make its much-anticipated debut during the Crown Clash event in Pokémon Go. To add this powerhouse to your team, you must evolve Bisharp, but here's the twist: Bisharp needs to be your buddy, and you'll have to defeat 15 Dark- or Steel-type Pokémon in Raid Battles. No need for Bisharp to do the battling - just bring it along and collect those victories.

Adding to the festivities are two new costumed Pokémon – Nidoqueen and Nidoking, both adorned with shiny new crowns. If luck is on your side, you might even encounter their Shiny versions. These royal ‘mons will be the stars of three-star raids, while the one-star lineup features Sneasel, Klink, and Pawniard.

There's plenty to see in the wild too. Keep an eye out for frequent spawns like Slowpoke (which might reward you with a King’s Rock), Slakoth, Piplup, Combee, Snivy, and Litleo. Pawniard will also be appearing more often, if you're fortunate.

With double XP for evolving Pokémon, it's an excellent time to tackle that evolution backlog.
