It quickly ascended to the top ranks of Steam's most-played games, peaking at 159,351 concurrent players. This significantly surpasses the original Kingdom Come: Deliverance's peak of 96,069 concurrent players seven years prior. The actual peak player count is likely higher, considering console sales, though those figures aren't publicly available.

Warhorse Studios celebrated the game's launch as a "triumph," a testament to its success for both the developer and its parent company, Embracer subsidiary Plaion.
