Liam Hemsworth Debuts as Geralt in 'The Witcher' Season 5 Set Photos

The White Wolf returns for one final adventure as production ramps up for the much-anticipated Season 5 of The Witcher. Fans have been buzzing with excitement since new set photos surfaced, offering a first look at Liam Hemsworth stepping into the iconic role of Geralt de Rivia. These seemingly leaked images, shared by the dedicated Witcher fan site Redanian Intelligence, showcase Hemsworth in full costume, complete with the character's signature long blonde hair. Alongside Hemsworth, familiar faces like Meng'er Zhang as Milva and Joey Batey as Jaskier are also seen, continuing their journey from the days when Henry Cavill led the series. Hemsworth's casting as Geralt was announced back in October 2022, set to take over from Season 4 through to the fifth and final season.

In addition to the returning cast, the leaked set photos reveal new characters set to debut in Season 4 and continue into the final season. One notable addition is legendary actor Laurence Fishburne, known for his role in Morbius, who will portray Emiel Reigs. Speculation among fans suggests that Season 5 might draw inspiration from Andrzej Sapkowski’s Tower of the Swallow, potentially featuring Geralt's encounter with beekeepers and subsequent journey towards the druids. However, with Season 4 still pending release, the narrative could take any number of twists and turns, leaving plenty of room for surprises.

Henry Cavill isn't the only departure from the series. Kim Bodnia, who played Geralt's mentor and father figure Vesemir, will not return for Season 4 due to scheduling conflicts. As of now, Netflix has not announced Bodnia's replacement, and there's no official release date for Season 4 yet. Fans eagerly await further updates as the saga of The Witcher approaches its epic conclusion.
