Lunacy serves as the premium currency in Limbus Company, essential for acquiring new Identities and EGOs, making it the game's primary gacha currency. If you're keen on unlocking all those exciting character variants, you'll want to accumulate as much Lunacy as possible.
In Limbus Company, the method of earning Lunacy follows a pattern similar to other gacha games. Initially, you'll find yourself flush with Lunacy, but as you progress further in your account, the rate at which you acquire it will noticeably decrease.
For newcomers to the game, diving into the main story is the most effective way to earn Lunacy. Completing each chapter will reward you with around 390 Lunacy, and if you manage to achieve an EX rating on enough missions, you can earn an additional 260 Lunacy. To EX clear a mission, you must meet all the EX objectives specific to that mission. The first time you achieve an EX clear, you'll receive an extra 40 Lunacy, so it's worth striving to meet those objectives.
First-time clears of Luxcavation stages also offer Lunacy rewards, though these are one-time only.
Once you've exhausted the available story quests, your Lunacy earnings will start to decline. At this point, the most effective methods to continue earning Lunacy include:
Tackling Boosted Mirror Dungeons will likely be your most reliable source of Lunacy. You can complete up to three of these dungeons weekly, earning 750 Lunacy in total. Weekly resets happen every Wednesday, so keep that in mind. These dungeons can be challenging, so make sure to bring your best Identities to the fray.
Events are another excellent opportunity to gather Lunacy, though they are available for a limited time only. To maximize your Lunacy gains, participate in events whenever possible, and always review the full list of event rewards to ensure you don't miss out on any bonuses.
Uptying involves upgrading your Sinners' Identities and EGOs. As you increase their Uptie tier, their power grows, and upon reaching Uptie Tier 3, you'll earn 40 Lunacy. While this method is not infinite like Mirror Dungeons, reaching Uptie Tier 3 for non-default Sinner Identities can take time, making it a long-term strategy for accumulating Lunacy. Keep leveling up your characters and gathering Threads to eventually Uptie your entire roster.
Lastly, the game's battle passes offer a wealth of resources for enhancing your Sinners, including Lunacy. While there are free tracks available, to access all rewards, you may need to spend real money.
