"New Marvel Rivals Hero Surprises with Stats"

To enhance the gameplay experience and boost the popularity of characters like Storm and Black Widow, who were previously underplayed, NetEase Games made significant balance adjustments to the heroes of Marvel Rivals in January, as Season 1 commenced.

Following these updates, Storm has experienced substantial enhancements, leading to a dramatic increase in her popularity and effectiveness. According to Rivals Meta, Storm now holds the top spot in win rate, marking a significant leap from her previous standing on the hero selection list. In competitive mode, her win percentage has soared above 56%, and her pick rate has climbed to 16%. Not long ago, she barely registered a 1% pick rate, but now she's surpassing heroes like Adam Warlock, Jeff, Spider-Man, Hela, Hulk, Magic, Iron Man, and many others.

Despite these shifts, the most popular character pairing of the first season remains Cloak and Dagger, though their win percentage has dipped below 49%. On the other hand, Black Widow continues to be the least sought-after and least successful character in the game.

With hundreds of thousands of players engaging with the game, including its competitive mode, Marvel Rivals is currently witnessing growth. Only 0.1% of all players can claim the prestigious Grandmaster title, making it an exclusive achievement, even though the Celestial rank exists.

Reaching such heights is no small feat, but one player has achieved something truly remarkable. In the first season, this player advanced to Grandmaster without taking any damage across the 108 games they played! Playing as Rocket Raccoon, this player focused solely on healing teammates. They restored over 2.9 million health points in those 108 matches and recorded nearly 3,500 assists while avoiding knockouts.
