Marvel Rivals Gets Suit from PlayStation's Spider-Man 2 Later This Month

Marvel Rivals players are in for a thrilling crossover, as the Advanced Suit 2.0 from Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 swings into the game as a fresh new skin. PlayStation shared the exciting news via a post on X/Twitter, giving fans a sneak peek at how NetEase Games has reimagined this iconic video game outfit for their new hero shooter.

Originally designed for Insomniac Games’ Marvel’s Spider-Man, the sleek Advanced Suit 2.0 has appeared in all three entries of the series, distinguished by its now-iconic white spider symbol. Its inclusion in Marvel Rivals marks a surprising collaboration with Sony and its console-exclusive superhero title. Players can expect Spider-Man’s Advanced Suit 2.0 to be available in the in-game store starting January 30, coinciding with Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 coming to PC.

Since its launch in December, Marvel Rivals has offered a variety of unlockable suits, but the Advanced Suit 2.0 stands out as an especially unique addition. Not only does it connect to the immensely popular PlayStation series, but it will also be worn by a Spider-Man voiced by Yuri Lowenthal, who has lent his voice to Peter Parker in all three Insomniac Spider-Man games and now Marvel Rivals. Players who snag this costume on January 30 will feel right at home as they swing into action.

NetEase's choice to include Spider-Man’s Advanced Suit 2.0 adds another exciting element to the content released with Season 1: Eternal Night Falls last week. This season introduced new playable characters from the Fantastic Four, Mister Fantastic and the Invisible Woman, with The Thing and Human Torch slated to join soon. According to creative director Guangyun Chen, players can look forward to at least one new hero every month and a half.
