New Characters Arrive February 21, 2025

NetEase has unveiled significant updates coming to Marvel Rivals' ongoing Season 1: Eternal Night Falls. As announced in their February 11 blog post, players can expect the Fantastic Four completion with Human Torch (Duelist) and The Thing (Vanguard) joining the battle on February 21, 2025, alongside a competitive rank reset.

The developers confirmed major balance changes will accompany these new additions, stating: "These adjustments aim to significantly impact gameplay during Season 1's second half." While specific hero modifications remain confidential, certain characters will receive buffs or nerfs to accommodate the new roster members.

This update follows the first half-season introductions of Mister Fantastic (Duelist) and Invisible Woman (Strategist). Season 1 has already expanded the game with three new battle arenas, limited-time events, and the innovative Doom Match mode.

Marvel Rivals seasons operate on a three-month cycle divided into two equal segments, each introducing a new hero. The current vampire-themed narrative features Count Dracula as the primary antagonist while integrating Marvel's first superhero family - the Fantastic Four - into the game's universe.
