Interested in diving deep into the world of Artian weapons in *Monster Hunter Wilds*? These exciting new additions to the game allow you to craft highly customizable weapons with virtually any stats and elements you desire. However, Artian weapons are a late-game feature, so let's explore everything you need to know about them.

How to Craft Artian Weapons in Monster Hunter Wilds

Monster Hunter Wilds Artian Weapons

Unlocking Artian weapons involves a few key steps. First, you'll need to complete the main story to unlock High Rank. Continue your journey until you successfully defeat your first Tempered monster. You'll recognize this monster by the comments from NPCs about its toughness and the many scars it bears.

After defeating this formidable foe, Gemma will approach you to discuss Artian weapons, triggering a tutorial that explains everything. You'll learn that Gemma is now capable of crafting these weapons. Each weapon type requires three components, and you must have at least one of each component to craft any weapon. However, there's more to it.

Components come with a rarity value, an element type, and an Artian bonus. To craft a weapon, components must have the same rarity value. The elemental effect on your weapon is determined by the most common element among your components. For example, using two water and one lightning component will result in a water weapon. Using three water components will enhance the water infusion, while using three different elements will result in no elemental infusion at all.

The Artian bonus can either increase your attack power or your affinity, which is essentially your critical hit chance. Your choice depends on your preferred playstyle. To craft these weapons, you'll need to gather Artian materials.

How to Get Artian Materials in Monster Hunter Wilds

Monster Hunter Wilds Artian Materials

Obtaining Artian materials is straightforward: hunt Tempered monsters in High Rank. Once you've defeated your first Tempered monster, one or two will usually be roaming in any given area. You'll receive notifications when they appear, and they're identifiable on the map by their blue outline.

By defeating or capturing these Tempered monsters, you'll earn Artian parts. You can continue farming these monsters to collect more materials and eventually obtain the specific parts you need. These parts appear alongside your main mission rewards and decorations. As your hunter rank increases, the rarity of the Artian materials you receive will also increase, naturally progressing with your gameplay.

It's worth noting that there doesn't seem to be a direct correlation between the monster you hunt and the types of Artian drops you receive. So, feel free to hunt the monsters you enjoy fighting or need parts from for other weapons or armor pieces.
