  • Monster Hunter Outlanders has released a new trailer during TGS 2025.
  • The footage highlights the unique weapons, gadgets, and abilities found in Aesoland.
  • It also announces an upcoming closed beta test scheduled for November.

Over in Chiba, Japan, gaming enthusiasts are filling the halls of Makuhari Messe for the Tokyo Game Show. This annual event brings a flood of news and trailers for anticipated mobile games, including the highly awaited Monster Hunter Outlanders.

The Monster Hunter series has a strong history on mobile and portable platforms, going back to its popular PSP days. While Monster Hunter Now has carved out a modern niche, many fans have been eager for an experience closer to the core series.

The latest trailer for Monster Hunter Outlanders appears to deliver on that promise. It showcases not only the iconic monsters but also a variety of weapons, abilities, and gadgets, like a notably stylish shamisen performer.

The trailer also revealed that a closed beta for Monster Hunter Outlanders will launch in November for selected regions. Interested players can register on the official Monster Hunter Outlanders website.

Beyond monster hunting, Outlanders will feature the return of beloved Palico companions, a crafting system to aid exploration across seven distinct biomes, and a new type of monster unique to Aesoland: Radiant species. These creatures are larger, more dangerous, and become especially aggressive during hunts.

In my view, Monster Hunter Outlanders is shaping up to be an excellent new entry for both the franchise and mobile gaming as a whole.

Of course, there's still some time before its full release. If you're looking for other great games to play in the meantime, check out our list of the top five new mobile games to try this week!
