New Monster Outbreaks Feature Tested in Monster Hunter Now

Exciting developments are underway in Monster Hunter Now, with Niantic introducing a new feature called Monster Outbreaks. This is currently in the testing phase, and they're eager to gather player feedback to refine the feature before its full release. So, what's the scoop on this new addition?

When Is the Monster Outbreaks Testing in Monster Hunter Now?

Mark your calendars for April 26th to 27th, as the testing phase will span these two days. The event will occur twice daily, on both Saturday and Sunday, with sessions running from 10:00 to 10:59 a.m. and again from 3:00 to 3:59 p.m., all in local time. During these specific time windows, you'll encounter a surge of 8-star Black Diablos at designated outbreak points on the map. The objective? Team up with other players to take down 100 of these formidable beasts at each outbreak location within the hour.

To participate, you'll need to be at least HR 11. Keep in mind, the party feature won't be available for this test; only in-person group hunts will count towards the goal. Outbreak points will be clearly marked with a special icon on the map. By tapping on these icons, you can access detailed information about the outbreak and even sign up on a roster to coordinate with other hunters.

Black Diablos Is Rolling Up with Serious Boss Energy, in Swarm Mode!

The mechanics of this event are fascinating. If you and three other hunters take down one Black Diablos, it counts as four towards the 100 needed to meet the goal. Should your group reach this target before the time runs out, you can continue hunting Black Diablos for the remainder of the hour.

And what about the rewards? If your team successfully slays 100 Black Diablos, you'll be rewarded with 3 Black Diablos Tailcases, 3 Ridges, 3 Primeshells, 3 Marrows, and 2,000 Zenny. Plus, by using the sign-up roster, you'll have a shot at earning the exclusive Outbreak Test I Medal.

Intrigued by this new challenge? Download Monster Hunter Now from the Google Play Store and join the Monster Outbreaks testing this weekend. Don't miss out on this thrilling opportunity to team up and take on the might of Black Diablos!
