My Father Lied: An Indie Developer's Vision

The game's creation story is fascinating. Ahmed Alameen, the developer, wasn't originally a game developer. In 2020, he was a writer and filmmaker. A college friend initially suggested a collaborative game project, but the team disbanded, leaving the idea unrealized.

Alameen, however, couldn't let go of the story. He embarked on a solo journey, teaching himself 3D modeling and Unreal Engine to bring his vision to life. Even the game's title was a collaborative effort with his wife.

Players step into the shoes of Huda, a young woman grappling with a twenty-year-old question: what happened to her father? The answer, as the story unfolds, is far from straightforward.

Android Release Date

My Father Lied launches on PC on May 30th, 2025. Android and iOS versions are slated for release in Q3 2025. For more information, visit the official Kickstarter or Steam pages.
