Neil Druckmann Says 'Don't Bet on' There Being a The Last of Us Part 3

Bad news for The Last of Us fans hoping for a Part 3 video game. Neil Druckmann, the series creator, has effectively dashed those hopes in a recent interview with Variety. When asked about the possibility of a third installment, Druckmann's response was a definitive, "Don't bet on there being more of 'Last of Us.' This could be it."

While Druckmann's statement is strong, it's not impossible he's being cautious or simply unwilling to commit at this time. Naughty Dog's current focus is on Intergalactic, a game announced last December with no release date in sight. This suggests the studio's resources are fully allocated for the foreseeable future.

However, the possibility of a future change of heart remains. Time will tell if this is the final chapter for the Last of Us video game saga.
