At the recent The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Nintendo Switch 2 Experience in Japan, a remarkable speedrun stunned attendees. Japanese content creator Ikaboze completed the game's final boss fight in just seven minutes—despite starting completely unarmed and without any equipment. The event imposed a strict 10-minute time limit, yet Ikaboze managed to defeat Ganon under intense conditions.
As reported by VGC, Ikaboze used an existing save file without prior knowledge of Link’s inventory. He decided on the spot to attempt a "naked" run—removing all items and gear before initiating the final battle. His bold strategy paid off, earning spontaneous applause from the crowd. The moment was captured and shared on social media:

Adding to the challenge, Ikaboze played using an unfamiliar controller and couldn't hear the game clearly due to the noise of the convention hall. Despite this, he remained composed and delivered an unforgettable performance.
“I was surprised by how many people had gathered,” Ikaboze later remarked. “Staff were even filming on their smartphones. This was the first time anyone had completed the Breath of the Wild demo, and staff congratulated me.”
The Nintendo Switch 2 Enhanced Edition of Breath of the Wild offers players improved visuals, enhanced performance, and additional features such as achievements and integration with the new "Zelda Notes" service via the Nintendo Switch Online app. If you already own the original version of the game, these enhancements won’t be available automatically. However, you can purchase an "upgrade pack" for $10 to unlock them. Both the Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom upgrade packs are offered at no extra cost to Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscribers.
Pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch 2 officially launched on April 24, maintaining a price point of $449.99. As expected, demand has been overwhelming, with retailers experiencing rapid sell-outs. Nintendo has also issued a notice to U.S. customers who pre-ordered through the My Nintendo Store: delivery by the official release date is not guaranteed due to high demand.
