Initially released to much fanfare, Alarmo quickly sold out in many regions. The high demand led to a lottery system in Japan to manage distribution. Even in locations like New York City, initial stock was depleted rapidly.

The March 2025 release will eliminate the previous requirement of a Nintendo Online membership, opening the purchase to all consumers. Alarmo will be available at major retailers globally, including Target, Walmart, GameStop, and other authorized vendors. The retail price remains at $99.99 USD.
