Pedro Pascal Slams JK Rowling as 'Heinous Loser' Over Trans Comments

Pedro Pascal, renowned for his roles in acclaimed series such as The Last of Us, The Mandalorian, and The Fantastic Four: First Steps, has publicly criticized Harry Potter author JK Rowling for her recent comments opposing the transgender community. Pascal's response came in the comments section of a video posted by writer and activist Tariq Raouf on April 17. In the video, Raouf criticizes Rowling's support for the UK Supreme Court's decision to define "woman" legally as "a biological woman and biological sex" under the country's equality legislation, a ruling that excludes transgender women from protections under the Equality Act.

Following the court's decision, Rowling celebrated on Twitter/X with a photo of herself smoking a cigar and enjoying a drink by the ocean, captioning it, "I love it when a plan comes together." This was a nod to her past financial support of the organization For Scotland Women, which filed the lawsuit.

Raouf's video denounces Rowling's actions as "serious Voldemort villain sht" and calls for a boycott of Harry Potter and related products. In his reply to Raouf's video, Pascal echoed the sentiment, stating, "Awful disgusting SHT is exactly right. Heinous LOSER behavior."

Pascal's support for the transgender community is well-documented. He previously shared his thoughts on social media, saying, "I can’t think of anything more vile and small and pathetic than terrorizing the smallest, most vulnerable community of people who want nothing from you, except the right to exist," accompanied by an image of a sign that reads, "A world without trans people has never existed and never will." At the premiere of Thunderbolts in London, Pascal wore a shirt with the message "Protect the dolls," a term used within the LGBTQIA+ community to refer to trans women.

His advocacy is deeply personal as well; Pascal's sister, Lux Pascal, publicly came out as a transgender woman in 2021. In response to her announcement, Pascal expressed his support by posting, "Mi hermana, mi corazón, nuestra Lux," which translates to "My sister, my heart, our Lux."
