If you're a fan of Littoral Games' previous titles like Growing Up and Chinese Parents, you'll be thrilled to dive into their latest Android release, A Perfect Day Pocket – Go back to 1999. This new game captures the same cozy atmosphere you've come to love, complete with a charming art style reminiscent of Growing Up. The water-coloured, hand-painted visuals not only look stunning but also effectively tell the story on their own.

During its launch week, from February 27th to March 5th, you can snag A Perfect Day – Go back to 1999 for just $1.99 on Android. After that, the price will bump up to $2.99. If you pre-registered for the game, don't forget to visit Brother Cao at the Youth Palace to claim your exclusive Panda Quake Mini 4WD. And keep an eye out for a limited-time Easter egg, the Old Uniform, hidden in 'My Bedroom' until March 26th.

What's the Premise of A Perfect Day – Go Back to 1999?

As the name suggests, A Perfect Day – Go Back to 1999 takes you on a nostalgic journey back to the year 1999, a hallmark of Littoral Games' storytelling. You'll relive the last day of 1999 in a time-loop narrative puzzle, playing as an elementary schoolboy trapped in a repetitive cycle akin to Groundhog Day.

The game is structured around seven time segments, featuring eleven main characters, twenty event cards, and one free DLC. Your mission is to navigate this loop, uncovering secrets about your classmates, friends, and family, all while striving to help everyone achieve their 'perfect day.'

Repeat, Revisit, and Rewrite

Central to A Perfect Day are themes of memories, regrets, and choices. You'll have the chance to revisit childhood friendships, delve into the lives of young parents, and make decisions that significantly shape the narrative. The story follows an interconnected structure, allowing for various outcomes as you relive the same day.

Adding to the nostalgic charm, the game includes several mini-games such as Mini 4WD races, a Gamicom console, and an arcade, all designed to capture the essence of 90s gaming. With its interactive storytelling and evocative visuals, A Perfect Day – Go back to 1999 is definitely worth exploring.
