Persona5: Phantom X Turn-Based RPG Released Globally

Persona5: The Phantom X officially launches today. For those unfamiliar, it carries forward the stylish rebellion that propelled the Persona franchise to global fame. This new chapter honors that heritage with a fresh cast of characters who embody both style and defiance.

Persona5: The Phantom X Brings a Fresh Chapter

The story follows a new protagonist who awakens from a terrifying dream into a reality that has grown bleaker and devoid of hope. He soon encounters an unusually eloquent owl named Lufel, a woman dressed in blue, and a mysterious man with a long nose.

As the hero, you will balance an ordinary school life with intense battles in the Metaverse and strange visits to the Velvet Room. Your mission is to uncover and confront the twisted desires of corrupt individuals, revealing their true nature.

Persona5: The Phantom X, often abbreviated as P5X, retains the series' signature turn-based combat. It introduces a new, flexible party-building system. Each team is centered on Wonder, supported by three allies and a Navigator.

By assembling characters or Personas that share the same attributes, players activate Harmony. This gameplay feature increases damage output for those specific attributes. Wonder’s ability to swap Personas mid-fight allows you to adapt and trigger different Harmony effects during combat.

More About the Features

Character progression in Persona5: The Phantom X relies heavily on Arcana Cards, which replace traditional armor and accessories. These cards enhance essential stats such as HP, Attack, and Speed. This represents a significant change from Persona 5, which offered just one armor and one accessory slot.

The game offers a mix of casual and challenging gameplay across seven distinct modes. For a more relaxed experience, dive into Heart Rail, Tycoon, Tartarus, and Velvet Trials. Endgame enthusiasts will find tougher challenges in Sea of Souls Trials, Door of Nightmares, and Astrolabe Trials.
