Many believe this launch is connected to Sega's ambitious "Super Game" project, announced in 2022. Sega CEO Haruki Satomi described it as "a large-scale global title" targeting a release by March 2026.

While details remain scarce, Sega's active development across various titles—from classics like Crazy Taxi and Jet Set Radio to new projects like the enigmatic Project Century—suggests a significant undertaking. The Sega Account could mark the dawn of a new era for Sega, but the full impact of these plans remains to be seen.
