Author:Kristen Update:Feb 18,2025

Sony's PlayStation State of Play is set for tomorrow, February 12th, at 2 PM Pacific / 5 PM Eastern / 10 PM UK. The showcase, exceeding 40 minutes, will be streamed in English and Japanese on PlayStation's official YouTube and Twitch channels.

While specifics remain under wraps, the PlayStation Blog hints at a diverse lineup of games from global studios, promising "a creative and unique selection of exciting games." Many anticipate updates on highly anticipated titles. A deeper dive into Sucker Punch's Ghost of Tsushima and a release date for Hideo Kojima's Death Stranding 2: On the Beach are among the top hopes.

Given last week's PlayStation Store leak, an official Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater release date trailer is a strong possibility.

PlayWhile announcements regarding Insomniac's Wolverine or Naughty Dog's Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet might be premature, other possibilities include:

  • Phantom: Blade Zero: The exciting sword combat of this exclusive action RPG from Chinese studio S-Game warrants a release date reveal.
  • Marathon and Fairgames: Bungie's Marathon and Haven's Fairgames, both intriguing multiplayer shooters, will likely garner significant attention following Sony's involvement in the Concord situation.

March marks the 10th anniversary of Bloodborne. Could this State of Play hold a special announcement?

Beyond the expected, we anticipate one or two fresh surprises and game reveals. Speculation abounds; could this be the day Halo finally arrives on PlayStation?
