Pokémon Go Concludes Might and Mastery Season with Global Challenge

The Might and Mastery season in Pokémon Go is heading toward its climax, and Niantic is putting teamwork front and center. From Tuesday, May 20th to Thursday, May 22nd, the Strength in Numbers Global Challenge invites you to send Gifts to your friends—lots of them.

During the event, you’ll be able to open up to 50 Gifts each day. That means more opportunities for Stardust, useful items, and friendship boosts—but more importantly, it helps the global community unlock a special reward: giftable Special Research tickets for the upcoming Community Day Classic: Machop.

If the challenge is completed on time, starting May 23rd, you’ll be able to send these Machop Special Research tickets to any friend you’ve reached Great Friends status with. You can gift these tickets even if you haven’t purchased one yourself—just visit the in-game shop and spread the Fighting-type enthusiasm. Each trainer can gift up to 20 tickets per day, so there’s plenty of room to be generous.

This leads directly into the Machop event on May 24th, from 2 to 5 pm local time. The Superpower Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild, and yes, the Shiny variant is back too—perfect for trainers who missed the first opportunity or want to build a glowing green Machamp army.
