Pokémon TCG Pocket's card art has captivated players, but recently, hidden details connecting the artwork to the Game Boy games have been uncovered. The background subtly depicts Celadon City Department Store from FireRed and LeafGreen, along with Route 16, Spearow's in-game habitat.

This intentional referencing of classic Pokémon games wasn't limited to Spearow. Other Reddit users, like jteede, identified further connections: a Diglett card near Vermillion City, a Haunter card by Lavender Town's tower, and more. asch_win even found location references within Supporter cards.

Many card illustrations feature fantastical settings unrelated to established Pokémon lore. Some, like a Pikachu card, mirror real-world collectible cards. However, the hidden Easter eggs are unique to Pokémon TCG Pocket.

The community is actively searching for more connections. Recent findings include the S.S. Anne on a Gyarados card and a storyline involving Oddish, Venonat, and Bellsprout near Snorlax's seaside location in FireRed and LeafGreen.
