James Bond Origin "Project 007" Coming to Switch 2

GoldenEye fans, prepare for action – IO Interactive has officially confirmed its upcoming James Bond game will launch on Nintendo Switch 2.

According to IO Interactive's website, Project 007 will feature an original narrative set within the Bond universe.

"Players will embody the world's most famous secret agent, earning their 00 status in James Bond's first-ever origin story," the developer revealed about the game's premise.

IO Interactive Studio Head Hakan Abrak previously discussed crafting this fresh origin story with IGN. "What makes this project special is we're creating an original narrative – not adapting an existing film," he explained.

"We're building a foundation for what could become a major trilogy. Equally exciting, we're introducing a new Bond specifically designed for gamers – a character players can truly claim as their own and develop with over time, while honoring the franchise's rich legacy."
