ZZZ Cracks the PS5 Top 10

Zenless Zone Zero, a free-to-play action RPG, has quickly gained popularity on the PlayStation 5. Recent data from Circana's "US Player Engagement Tracker Top 10 Titles" report places ZZZ in the top 10 most popular PlayStation games. The ranking is based on weekly user engagement, excluding playtime duration. This places ZZZ alongside major titles such as Elden Ring and Minecraft.

Launched on July 4th, ZZZ's initial impact was significant. It secured the #12 spot in the PS5's top 40 most-played games chart during its launch week. Furthermore, early mobile revenue figures from PocketGamer.biz show nearly $52 million in gross player spending ($36.4 million net) within the first 11 days, peaking at $7.4 million on July 5th.

While not yet matching the overall success of miHoYo's other titles, ZZZ's performance is impressive. It's now competing with industry titans like Call of Duty, Fortnite, and Roblox. The game boasts a 4.5/5 star rating on the Epic Games Store, with players praising its engaging boss battles and compelling narrative.
