Punishing Gray Raven x Devil May Cry Crossover Arrives Aug. 6

Punishing Gray Raven x Devil May Cry 5 Event Details

Coming on August 6

Kuro Games, the developer behind Punishing Gray Raven (PGR), has confirmed the global launch date for its eagerly awaited Devil May Cry 5 collaboration. According to a July 24 announcement on PGR’s official X (formerly Twitter) account, the crossover event is set to begin on August 6.

Originally launched on the Chinese server on May 22, the collaboration has since been highly anticipated by global server players. Kuro Games previously confirmed on May 7 via an X post that the global version would also receive the event.

With the release date now confirmed, the developers have shared new details on the collab events under the title "Lamento di Phantasma."

Lamento di Phantasma Event Calendar

In a July 22 X post, Kuro Games stated that the Lamento di Phantasma event will run from August 6 through September. During this period, players can experience a new crossover story and earn Dante as a free playable character upon completion.

In addition, special rate-up banners for Dante and Vergil will remain active from August 6 to September 18. As with the original Chinese server release, players who obtain these characters will also receive an additional duplicate copy, with this bonus applying up to two times per banner.

Players can also summon 6-star weapons such as Devil Sword Dante and Yamato, along with Netherworld Arms Cavaliere and Mirage Blades. Limited-time character shard packs will be available for Dante (Hunter's Rebellion) and Vergil (Yamato's Shadow), each containing 30 shards, 1x 6-Star Memory Resonance Material Pick, and 150x 6-Star Memory Shards. These packs can be purchased once per character.

Beyond the story content and banners, PGR will include a variety of in-game events for this update. New SFX Coatings for Ishmael: Parhelion (Ritual of Souls) and Alisa: Echo (Sandy Spectrum) will be available until September 18, alongside returning Coating sets for Liv, Karenina, Vera, and Luna.

A version-specific sign-in event for Lamento di Phantasma will run from after the update until September 7, offering exclusive rewards—including an Anniversary Portrait, Basic Construct R&D Tickets, upgrade materials, and more—to players who log in for 7 days.

Additionally, the Golden Hour 4th Anniversary sign-in event will be available until September 8, providing participants who log in for 3 days with 2500 Event Construct R&D Tickets, the Homeland main interface scene, and the Honor Medal IV anniversary collectible.

This update also introduces several limited-time game modes: Trial of Simulacrums, Divine Finality Boss Challenge, Bytebite Invasion, Limited Anniversary Research Event, Limit Break, and Light in Indigo Waves. Each event will offer unique collaboration items, collectibles, and various in-game rewards.

The collaboration between PGR and Devil May Cry 5 has long been anticipated by the community, and the official confirmation has heightened excitement to see iconic DMC characters in Babylonia. Punishing Gray Raven is available on iOS and Android, with the Devil May Cry crossover starting August 6, 2025.
