Following a minor leak last week, EA has officially announced the title of their upcoming Star Wars game: Star Wars: Zero Company. This exciting new project is being crafted by Bit Reactor, a studio formed in 2022, with backing from Lucasfilm Games and Respawn. Bit Reactor boasts a team of seasoned developers from renowned titles such as XCOM, Civilization, Gears of War, and Elder Scrolls Online, bringing a wealth of experience to the table.

Star Wars: Zero Company is set to be a "single-player turn-based tactics game," promising a fresh take on the Star Wars gaming experience. While details are scarce at the moment, fans won't have to wait long for more information. EA is set to unveil a first look at the game during Star Wars Celebration in Japan on April 19.

The involvement of Respawn in Star Wars: Zero Company remains somewhat ambiguous. The studio has faced several challenges recently, including the cancellation of its own Star Wars FPS project a year ago, as well as mass layoffs at EA and the termination of another multiplayer FPS project just last month.

For those eager to learn more, a live panel dedicated to Star Wars: Zero Company is scheduled for Saturday, April 19 at 4:30pm local time in Japan. For viewers in the U.S., that translates to an early morning session at 12:30am PT and 3:30am ET, so set your alarms to catch all the exciting details!
