Ironheart Trailer: Riri Williams Faces Hood After Truck Smash

Author:Kristen Update:Oct 21,2025

Marvel has unveiled the debut trailer for its upcoming MCU Disney+ series, Ironheart.

In Ironheart, Dominique Thorne returns as the armored superhero she first portrayed in 2022’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, with Anthony Ramos joining the cast as Parker Robbins, also known as The Hood. The newly released trailer, available below, offers a compelling preview of the limited series, which charts Riri Williams' journey to establish herself as a standalone iconic hero, building on her earlier supporting role within the MCU.

Parker Robbins / The Hood is introduced as someone who initially aims to help Williams unlock her full potential, but there are clearly hidden layers to his character.

Produced by Ryan Coogler, Ironheart will premiere its first three episodes on June 24 at 6pm PT / 9pm ET, exclusively on Disney+.

Reflecting on her part in the events of Wakanda Forever, Williams describes it as an "internship abroad." After being expelled from MIT, she is confronted with The Hood’s proposition: “anyone who's ever achieved great things had to make tough choices. Are you in or out?”

Scenes from the trailer show Ironheart suiting up, soaring through the air, and, in one explosive moment, bracing herself before launching a punch that sends a truck flipping dramatically over her head.

Marvel has several other series in development. Also emerging from the Black Panther universe is Eyes of Wakanda, a four-part animated limited series centered on the Hatut Zaraze, a specialized unit of Wakandan warriors. It is set to debut on August 6.

Further expanding the TV roster is an additional four-episode animated miniseries, Marvel Zombies, alongside the live-action show Wonder Man. Marvel Zombies premieres on October 3, unfolding within the zombie-infused reality first explored in the What If…? series. The show will bring back numerous MCU stars reprising their original roles, including Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlet Witch, Simu Liu as Shang-Chi, David Harbour as Red Guardian, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, Awkwafina as Katy Chen, Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop, and Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan.

Wonder Man, scheduled to premiere in December 2025, will feature Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Simon Williams—a super-powered actor and recurring Avenger in the comics. Ben Kingsley reprises his part as Trevor Slattery, the false Mandarin from Iron Man 3, while Demetrius Grosse is cast as the Grim Reaper, Simon’s villainous sibling.
