Rosa's Book Location in KCD2 Revealed

In *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, missing certain side tasks can lead to their failure if you cannot revisit them. One such critical side task is finding Rosa's book, which is essential for those aiming to deepen their connection with Rosa. To embark on this quest, you must first complete the "Via Argentum" quest and initiate "Taking French Leave." After assisting the Ruthard family in dealing with Vavak, either through force or persuasion, you are directed to speak with Rosa. She reveals a secret passage into Maleshov for rescuing Hans and requests that you retrieve a book for her while you're there. To start "Rosa’s Book," ask Rosa about the book and commit to bringing it back to her.

It's crucial to complete this side quest during the "Taking French Leave" mission. Failing to find the book before leaving with Hans will result in the quest failing, and you'll miss the opportunity to romance Rosa. Fortunately, the book is conveniently located on your path to Hans' room.

Upon entering Maleshov, head to the largest tower where Hans is held at the top. Use the stairs on the side of the building to reach the entrance. Once inside, you'll find another set of stairs and a small kitchen nearby. Hide in the kitchen until the guards upstairs leave the tower.

Next, sneak up the stairs to a room where Lady Ofka sits facing the fireplace. You can sneak behind her and knock her out. Take the keys from her body, the keys from the podium in her room, and the sword from the chest in her room. Inside this room, you'll find Rosa’s book. Look to the right of the fireplace, where a red book sits in the window alcove. Pick it up, and your objective updates to return the book to Rosa.

While in the area, don't forget to enter the next room and take another sword from the chest there. This will save you time later when meeting Hans, as you'll need two weapons for him and his unexpected guest. After securing the book and the swords, proceed to the top level and unlock the door on the left to trigger a cutscene.

Following the cutscene, continue with the rest of "Taking French Leave." Although Hans may not want to use the passageway, you can work towards romancing him by selecting the dialogue option with a heart icon, provided you chose the heart option in Trosky as well. Then, sneak to the stables on the north side of Maleshov, knocking out and hiding guards as necessary. After clearing a path, signal Hans and ensure his safe passage to the stables.

Open the gate to trigger another cutscene that concludes the quest. After it ends, return to Kuttenberg City and stop by Ruthard Palace to deliver Rosa's eagerly awaited book in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*.
