This would mark over a year since his initial release in Version 4.1. The long wait highlights the ongoing challenge Genshin Impact faces in balancing its extensive roster of over 90 playable characters with the limited slots available for character reruns on Event Banners.

The game's current system, even with the addition of the Chronicled Banner (intended to alleviate the rerun backlog), struggles to provide fair and timely reruns for all characters. Shenhe's lengthy wait time (over 600 days) before her rerun in Version 5.3 serves as a prime example.
