Rumor: Switch 2 Leak Reveals Possible Joy-Con Images

Nintendo Switch 2 Joy-Con Leak: A Closer Look

Recent online leaks offer the clearest images yet of the Nintendo Switch 2's Joy-Con controllers, seemingly confirming design details and features. While the Nintendo Switch continues to receive new releases in 2025, speculation around its successor is intensifying, particularly with Nintendo's confirmed announcement before the end of their 2024 fiscal year. Rumors surrounding the Switch 2's March 2025 launch date have fueled a wave of leaks regarding specifications and features.

These latest images, shared on r/NintendoSwitch2 by user SwordfishAgile3472, allegedly originate from a Chinese social media platform. The photos provide a detailed view of the left Joy-Con's back and side, showcasing a key feature: a magnetic connection system. This replaces the traditional rail-based connection, utilizing magnetic fields for attachment to the console. The images have since spread across various social media platforms, adding further credence to previous rumors.

The leaked images also reveal the color scheme of the Switch 2 Joy-Cons. While primarily black, a blue accent is visible on the side, similar to the original Switch's blue Joy-Con, but with a reversed color emphasis. The photos also offer a glimpse of the button layout, including notably larger "SL" and "SR" buttons, and a third, unlabeled button on the back, potentially designed to release the magnetic connection.

This leaked Joy-Con design aligns with other circulating leaks and mockups of the Switch 2 console. However, until Nintendo provides official confirmation, the details remain speculative. The anticipation builds as the official unveiling of the Nintendo Switch 2 draws closer.
