Scarlet Girls: Build Your Ultimate 2D Squad - Beginner's Guide

Author:Kristen Update:Apr 11,2025

Dive into the world of *Scarlet Girls*, a fresh and engaging Idle RPG that introduces players to a squad of technologically enhanced mecha waifus known as "Stellaris." Set in the 119th year of the Old Euro Calendar, the game unfolds in a post-apocalyptic world where mutated animals and powerful beings have driven humanity to the edge of extinction. As one of humanity's last hopes, you're tasked with recruiting and training these mecha girls to combat the menacing catastromechs and restore peace on Earth. This beginner's guide will illuminate the key mechanics and game modes to boost your account power and ensure smooth progression. Let's get started!

Understanding the Combat Mechanics of Scarlet Girls

The heart of *Scarlet Girls* is its Idle-based combat system, perfect for players seeking a more laid-back gaming experience. Battles are turn-based, with the sequence determined by each character's Speed stat. A full round concludes once all allies and enemies have acted. You can bring up to five characters into battle, and the game offers a "Quick Dispatch" feature that automatically arranges your squad based on their strength. Once your lineup is set, you can sit back and watch as your Stellaris unleash their unique and visually stunning special abilities.

Your Stellaris come equipped with both active and passive abilities that they deploy automatically during combat. Each skill has a cooldown period, measured in turns, before it can be used again. The key to success lies in crafting synergistic teams of mecha girls capable of overcoming your foes. Although the battles unfold in real-time, your role is strategic rather than active, focusing on assembling powerful line-ups that maximize your characters' strengths.

Each Stellaris is categorized into one of four classes, each with distinct roles:

  • Paladins – Boast the highest armor stats, acting as frontline defenders to absorb enemy attacks and shield their teammates.
  • Support – Equipped with healing and supportive abilities, these Stellaris are crucial for maintaining your team's health from the backline.
  • Devastator – Masters of heavy firepower, these Stellaris are designed to unleash devastating energy damage on your enemies.
  • Assaulter – Experts in close combat, these Stellaris wield bladed weapons to deal lethal physical damage and dismantle their targets.

Echo – The Gacha System of Scarlet Girls

Recruiting new Stellaris is facilitated through the game's gacha system, known as "Echo." Stellaris are available in various rarities: R, SR, SSR, and SSR+. The higher the rarity, the more potent the Stellaris, thanks to superior base stats and stronger abilities that can significantly influence battle outcomes.

At the global launch, the "Normal Echo" banner is your gateway to summoning R to SSR Stellaris. You can use Echo tickets or Diamonds to summon, with a guaranteed SSR character within 40 attempts. Each summon also earns you 20 echo points, and accumulating 2000 points allows you to select a random SSR character from one of the four elemental banners (excluding Nebula). You can track your progress on the right side of the Echo system. The probabilities for recruiting different rarities are:

  • R Stellaris – 19.979% chance per individual R character
  • SR Stellaris – 2.667% chance per individual SR character
  • SSR Stellaris – 0.133% chance per individual SSR character
  • SSR+ Stellaris – 0.010% chance per individual SSR+ character
