Starting your journey in Hollow Era, you begin as a Soul Spirit. To transition into a Shinigami, you must seek out the NPC named Hurt Shinigami, who is in dire need of assistance. Accepting her quest commits you to the path of the Shinigami, locking out the Hollow progression route. However, if your heart yearns for the Hollow path, you might later become a Visored, blending both worlds. Should you wish to explore the Hollow route immediately, our dedicated guide on Hollow progression can help.

During the initial choice between Shinigami and Hollow, act quickly. To become a Hollow, simply break your chain. Choosing Shinigami, however, means your chain will gradually deteriorate over time, breaking completely after about two minutes per section. If the chain breaks before you've committed to the Shinigami path, you'll automatically turn into a Hollow. In such a case, refer to our resurrection moves lists to navigate your new Hollow endgame.
Your first mission as a Shinigami involves purifying 6 Lost Souls, a task befitting your role in maintaining the balance between life and death. Following this, you'll receive a quest to deliver a letter to a Doctor near the hospital, obtainable from the NPC next to Hurt Shinigami.

These early quests are perfect for familiarizing yourself with your new powers. Consider purchasing a $1,000 random sword of power from a Urakara shop. If your funds allow, utilizing the bus stop as a teleport for $200 can save you time traversing the expansive map. Alternatively, you can opt for infinite fast travel available in the Robux Shop for 149 Robux.

From here, quests continue to be marked by a red crosshair, guiding you through tasks such as defeating a Hollow, tackling 5 Corrupted Shinigamis, and more until you reach level 15. Quests in Hollow Era vary, including repeatable ones, progression quests, and those linked to specific paths like Vizard and Airwalk.

Maximizing your Shinigami's potential requires strategic investment of skill points into your Reiatsu Skill Tree, unlocking powerful Kido abilities exclusive to Shinigami.
The Kido and Reiatsu Nodes work as follows: Kido Nodes boost the damage of your Kido skills, while Reiatsu Nodes increase your maximum Reiatsu output. Here are some key Kido abilities:
To unlock Shikai, you must reach level 15 and visit Urihiro to start the Shikai Training quest. Defeating Urahara Kisuke rewards you with 1,700 exp and the ability to use Shikai powers.

Warning: Facing Kisuke at level 15 can be challenging without optimal gear and skills. Consider grinding to level 25 or higher before attempting this quest.
Upon unlocking Shikai, your weapon gains a random mighty ability. If dissatisfied, you can re-roll it at Urahara Shop for cash. The game features a Rage Bar, which fills with damage given or taken. Press Y (default keybind) to activate Shikai when the bar is full, ending when your Reiatsu is depleted or you release the key.
Your Shikai Mastery Level increases with the accumulation of Mastery Points, earned by using Shikai Skills. Higher Mastery Levels reduce Rage consumption, enhancing efficiency. Each level also comes with unique aura effects and character appearances:
Once committed to the Shinigami path, the only way to access Hollow abilities is by becoming a Visored. This requires reaching level 50 and obtaining the Vizard fighting style from the Vizard’s Warehouse. Visoreds, according to Bleach lore, are Shinigami who have mastered Hollow powers.

The journey to Visored status involves defeating the King of Hueco Mundo to acquire the Hogyoku, which has a 1% drop rate. The Hogyoku is essential for breaking the barriers between Hollow and Shinigami.
As a Visored, you gain access to Mask Control to manage your inner Hollow and the Visored node to extend mask-wearing time, boosting your damage output with Hollow powers.

Currently, Bankai is not available in Hollow Era. Given the game's popularity, future updates may introduce this feature, though no specific release date has been confirmed.
