New Shining Revelry Expansion Coming to Pokemon TCG Pocket This Month

Author:Kristen Update:May 05,2025

My interest in Pokemon TCG Pocket tends to ebb and flow. I dive in deeply with each new set release, staying engaged as long as there are Emblems to earn for achieving around 40 wins. Once that goal is met, my routine shifts to logging in daily, opening my packs, participating in a Wonder Pick just for fun, and then moving on until the next day. This cycle is set to repeat with the arrival of the latest expansion, Shining Revelry, on March 27th.

Shining Revelry will add 110 new cards to the TCG Pocket, featuring an assortment of new Ex Pokemon, Trainers, and the stunning art cards that fans adore. The most thrilling aspect of this expansion, as hinted by its name, is the introduction of Shiny Pokemon. These are uniquely colored versions of our beloved creatures; for instance, you'll see Lucario in yellow instead of its usual blue, and Pachirisu with a charming pink stripe.

The trailer, which you can view below, offers just a glimpse of what's in store, but let's delve into the details. A new Shiny Charizard Ex is coming with 180 HP and an attack named Steam Artillery, which inflicts a hefty 150 damage. However, it requires five energy to execute. Thankfully, its other move, Stoke, allows you to attach three Fire Energy at once, easing the burden.

Another highlight is the new Ex version of Lucario. Previously more of a support character in the Space-Time Smackdown expansion, this iteration of the Aura Pokemon is now ready to take on a more aggressive role. With 150 HP, it may not be the most durable, but its Aura Sphere attack is impressive, dealing 100 damage for three Fighting Energy and hitting one of your opponent's Benched Pokemon for an additional 30.

The trailer also showcases other cards that, while not game-changers, are still fantastic additions. Shiny Wiglett, Pachirisu, and Varoom are all making their way into the game with eye-catching designs. Additionally, there's a breathtaking Tatsugiri art rare that I'm eager to add to my digital collection.
