In the post-apocalyptic world of *Atomfall*, certain items can significantly enhance your survival and gameplay experience. One such crucial item is the Signal Redirector, which is not easy to obtain. If you're having trouble locating it, this guide will walk you through the process of acquiring the Signal Redirector.

Where to Find Signal Redirector in Atomfall

The Signal Redirector is a unique tool in *Atomfall* that you can't simply buy from a trader or find on a random corpse, unlike the Metal Detector. It's located in a specific spot linked to one of the game's main characters, Dr. Diane Garrow, a former B.A.R.D scientist.

Your journey begins by picking up a lead in Wyndham Village about Dr. Garrow's whereabouts. From there, you'll need to embark on a rescue mission to save her. Dr. Garrow is imprisoned deep within the Protocol prison camp in Skethermoor, a location teeming with Protocol soldiers.

To ease your infiltration, consider meeting Captain Grant Sims in Wyndham Village first. By assisting him with tasks like recovering stolen items, you can gain favor with Protocol, making your approach to the prison camp less hostile.

When you're ready, head to the Protocol prison camp on the southern border of Skethermoor. The entrance to the underground prison is at the end of the southernmost road, marked by a large green door.

Navigating the prison involves progressing through multiple levels while evading or neutralizing guards and robots. Remember, you can disable B.A.R.D robots to collect their **Atomic Batteries**, essential for The Interchange.

Reach the bottom level of the prison, past the dig site area, where Dr. Garrow is held in a standalone cell in the main room. To free her, you'll need the Signal Redirector, which is stored in the nearby Storage room on a shelf. Upon retrieving it, you'll earn the **‘Reverse the Polarity’ trophy/achievement**.

How to Use Signal Redirector in Atomfall

The Signal Redirector, crafted by Dr. Garrow, serves as a hacking tool that reroutes power within yellow junction boxes to different sources. This capability is vital for disabling security systems and unlocking storage rooms.

Similar to the Metal Detector, the Signal Redirector will alert you with an icon at the bottom of your screen when a hackable junction box is nearby. Follow the device's needle to locate the box, which will be highlighted when you're close enough.

To hack, select the 'Hack' button to reroute the junction box's power. If needed, you can reverse the hack by selecting the 'Hack' button again.
