The Sims franchise's 25th anniversary is in full swing, and while Electronic Arts has unveiled its celebratory roadmap, unannounced surprises may still be in store.
A recent Sims teaser hinted at the series' first two installments, sparking fan speculation about a potential revival. While unconfirmed, Kotaku sources suggest a possible announcement later this week: digital PC releases of The Sims 1 and 2, complete with their original expansion packs.
The possibility of console releases remains uncertain, though EA's likely pursuit of nostalgic profits makes it a strong consideration.
Given the age of The Sims 1 and 2, and the scarcity of legal access to these games, their return would be a welcome event for many longtime fans.
