The Sims turns 25 with updates in FreePlay, livestreams and more

The Sims franchise celebrates its 25th anniversary this year! To mark this milestone, EA is rolling out updates and celebrations across numerous titles, including mobile versions.

The Sims, initially conceived as a SimCity spin-off, revolutionized gaming by offering unprecedented control over simulated human lives. Players guide their Sims through life's milestones – childhood, education, marriage, careers, parenthood, and ultimately, death. Its enduring popularity and genre-defining impact solidify its place as a gaming giant. Mobile Game Updates:

The Sims FreePlay and The Sims Mobile are receiving significant anniversary updates. The Sims FreePlay features the "FreePlay 2000" update, a Y2K-themed experience. Additional live events and a "25 Days of Gifting" promotion are also underway. The Sims Mobile is offering two free gifts to players during its birthday week, commencing March 4th.
