The Sims will celebrate its 25th anniversary with lots of free items

Electronic Arts recently hosted a livestream event to commemorate the 25th anniversary of The Sims franchise. The event showcased the exciting free gifts and in-game events planned for The Sims 4 players throughout the anniversary celebration.

The festivities have already commenced with a new update. This update addresses numerous bugs, boasts a refreshed main menu, and features improved game optimization. Several classic houses in Willow Creek and Oasis Springs have also received a makeover. These updated versions are automatically available for new games, while existing saves can access them via the in-game library.

The main anniversary celebration begins February 4th with a significant update delivering over 70 new free items! Simultaneously, a new in-game event, "Blast from the Past," launches. Players can earn retro-themed items and a complete new set by completing a series of straightforward challenges.

Further enhancing the celebration, a new season called "Motherlode" will debut in The Sims 4 on February 6th. Specific details about this season's content are yet to be revealed, adding an element of surprise and anticipation.
