Sims Fans Rejoice: Sims 1 and 2 Now Available for PC

Celebrate 25 Years of The Sims with Legacy Collections!

EA and Maxis are marking The Sims' 25th anniversary with a fantastic gift to fans: The Sims 1 and The Sims 2 are back on PC! Available now are The Sims: Legacy Collection and The Sims 2: Legacy Collection, individually or bundled together for $40 in The Sims 25th Birthday Bundle.

These releases include nearly all expansions and stuff packs for both games. While The Sims 2: Legacy Collection omits the 2008 IKEA Home Stuff pack, it and The Sims: Legacy Collection both offer bonus content – a Throwback Fit Kit for The Sims 1 and a Grunge Revival Kit for The Sims 2.

This marks a significant return for these classic titles. The Sims 1, originally released only on disc, has been unavailable for digital purchase for years. The Sims 2, while previously offered as an Ultimate Collection, was later removed from EA's Origin store. These Legacy Collections ensure all four main Sims games are now readily accessible digitally.

Originally reviewed with high scores (The Sims 1: 9.5/10, The Sims 2: 8.5/10), these foundational titles retain their charm, offering a simpler, yet challenging and undeniably fun experience compared to their modern counterparts. Their quirky nature and lasting legacy make them well worth revisiting.
