Fans eager to dive into the initial episodes of Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld will need to jump into Fortnite to catch the series premiere before it hits Disney+. Epic Games unveiled an exciting expansion of its Star Wars content, announcing that the first two episodes of the animated spinoff will debut exclusively within Fortnite. This move aligns with the studio's strategy to enhance its Star Wars offerings during the upcoming Galactic Battle season, which is set to deliver an array of Star Wars-themed rewards.
Starting at 10 a.m. ET on May 2, you can watch the kickoff of Tales of the Underworld with two episodes featuring Asajj Ventress on the Star Wars Watch Party island—two full days before the show becomes available to Disney+ subscribers. Epic Games encourages fans to link their Epic Games and MyDisney accounts, offering a First Order Stormtrooper outfit as an incentive. While the full scope of account linking benefits remains under wraps, Epic hints at "more benefits to come."
"Disney and Epic are pioneering the future of social entertainment together, and this expansive Star Wars collaboration offers a glimpse into the type of interactive experiences we envision," said Epic Games President Adam Sussman. "We are reimagining what’s possible with immersive storytelling in Fortnite with one of the world’s most beloved franchises - stay tuned for a lot more to come."
You have until May 11 to enjoy these exclusive episodes on the Star Wars Watch Party island, after which the island will cease to be live. The island will also host a Battle Arena where players can engage in combat, wielding lightsabers against waves of enemies. As an added bonus, watching both episodes will reward you with an Asajj Ventress loading screen.

Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld is a six-episode series, animated in the style of The Clone Wars, that follows the adventures of Asajj Ventress and Cad Bane. The official synopsis hints that Ventress will encounter a new chance at life and a new ally, while Bane will be forced to confront his past.
Disney's relationship with Fortnite stretches beyond the Galactic Battle season. In March 2024, the House of Mouse acquired a $1.5 billion stake in Epic, setting the stage for long-term collaboration. This partnership will see the integration of more Star Wars, Marvel, and Pixar outfits into the popular battle royale game, with notable features in the upcoming season including Darth Jar Jar and Emperor Palpatine.
Since its launch in 2017, Fortnite has continued to dominate the space. Recent collaborations, such as the one with Sabrina Carpenter, have helped maintain its status, encouraging players to put down the pickaxes and put on their dancing shoes.
