As a die-hard fan of George Miller's work, I can confidently say he's a visionary director who has masterfully crafted two of my all-time favorite franchises: the high-octane Mad Max series and the surprisingly delightful Happy Feet saga. Yes, there was indeed a sequel to Happy Feet, and it's worth exploring further. But let's not get sidetracked by penguins just yet.
The Mad Max films brilliantly fuse the raw energy of early '80s action with a hauntingly surreal vision of a post-apocalyptic Australia. After delivering three iconic movies between 1979 and 1985, it seemed like the saga would remain a cherished trilogy of its time. However, following his detour into the world of animated musicals, Miller made a triumphant return to the franchise that launched his career.
In 2015, Mad Max: Fury Road hit the screens with Tom Hardy stepping into the role previously played by Mel Gibson. The film was met with widespread critical acclaim and went on to win six Academy Awards. Although the latest addition, Furiosa, didn't replicate the same box office success, I firmly believe that Mad Max remains one of the greatest action franchises ever created.
As we celebrate the 10th anniversary of Fury Road, I highly recommend embarking on a Mad Max marathon. Here's how you can watch all the films in the series online:

If you're aiming to watch the Mad Max movies chronologically, you can follow the release order for the original trilogy and then switch Furiosa and Fury Road:
However, I believe Furiosa is best enjoyed as the final movie in your marathon. Like many great prequels, some of its most impactful moments hinge on your familiarity with the characters from Fury Road.
George Miller has hinted that the future of the Mad Max franchise hinges on the performance of Furiosa. Although it didn't set the box office on fire, Miller's comments suggest he still has stories to tell in this dystopian world. Reports from Deadline indicate that Miller has a script ready for another Mad Max movie, possibly titled The Wasteland, a rumored sequel to Fury Road. However, with other projects on his plate and the high costs associated with these films, it might be a while before we see another installment. But given the quality of Miller's work, it's certainly something to look forward to.
