Survival of the Fittest Weekly Challenge in *Phasmophobia* is an intense experience that tests your ghost-hunting skills to the limit. Here's how you can navigate this terrifying ordeal and emerge victorious.
Survival of the Fittest is one of the toughest challenges in *Phasmophobia*, stripping you of traditional evidence and sanity. You'll need to tackle this at **42 Edgefield Road**, a claustrophobic location that makes ghost tracking and evasion challenging due to its narrow hallways and blind corners.

Upon arrival at 42 Edgefield Road, remember that traditional evidence-gathering tools like Ghost Writing Books and DOTs Projectors are unavailable. You'll need to focus on the ghost's unique behavior traits, movement speed, and ghost model to identify it.

Use the Parabolic Microphone to detect specific ghost sounds, like the Banshee's scream or the Myling's frequent noises. Place Salt on the floor to identify a Wraith, and light three Firelights in a row to possibly reveal an Onyro. For a comprehensive guide, check out our No Evidence ghost behaviors cheat sheet.
You start with virtually no setup time and zero sanity, making you vulnerable to ghost hunts from the get-go. Sanity cannot be restored, even with the two Sanity Medications provided. Expect high ghost activity and frequent events, which can help you understand ghost behaviors despite the lack of traditional evidence.

The ghost's favorite room won't change, but most doors start partially open, complicating location detection. Fortunately, the fuse box will be on, and all nine hiding spots at 42 Edgefield Road will be available for safety during hunts.

The only Cursed Possession you get is the **Monkey Paw**. Using it to "wish for knowledge" can burn out incorrect evidences and ghost types in your Journal, but it comes at a high cost: temporary blindness and deafness, plus a Cursed Hunt starting near you. This strategy is best for groups where one player can act as a sacrifice.

To access Challenge Mode, go to the Difficulty Settings in the Main Menu. Choose Singleplayer or Multiplayer to start a new lobby, then select the Difficulty tab. Scroll to Challenge Mode and hit 'Apply'. Remember to manually select 42 Edgefield Road from the Maps board. Complete the challenge three times to receive the full $5,000 reward; you only need to correctly identify the ghost each time.
The Weekly Challenge resets on Monday at Midnight UTC, but North American players can start early on Sunday evening:
Make sure to complete your challenges before the server reset to earn credit.
