System Shock 2 Anniversary Edition Remaster Announced

Nightdive Studios' updated version of the 1999 sci-fi horror RPG, originally titled System Shock 2: Enhanced Edition, will now launch as System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster. This remastered edition is expanding its reach to include the Nintendo Switch.

The game will soon be available on Windows PC (via Steam and GOG), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.

The official synopsis:

The year is 2114. Awakening from cryo-sleep aboard the Von Braun starship, you find yourself with amnesia, surrounded by chaos. Hybrid mutants and lethal robots stalk the ship's corridors, their chilling cries echoing through the vessel. SHODAN, a malevolent AI determined on humanity's annihilation, has seized control. Nightdive Studios has confirmed that a release date and a new trailer will be revealed during the Future Game Show Spring Showcase livestream on March 20, 2025.
