Teardown Adds Multiplayer and Folkrace DLC

Tuxedo Labs has exciting news for fans of their popular sandbox game, Teardown, as they've announced the introduction of a multiplayer mode alongside a new expansion, the Folkrace DLC. The Folkrace DLC is set to enrich the single-player experience with new maps, vehicles, and racing challenges. Players can look forward to participating in various events, earning rewards, and customizing their vehicles to excel on the tracks.

The multiplayer update will initially be available on Steam's Experimental Branch, allowing players early access to test this new feature. Tuxedo Labs is eager for feedback, particularly from the modding community, as they plan to update the game's API. These updates will enable modders to adapt their existing creations for use in multiplayer settings.

The developers have shared that integrating multiplayer has been a long-term goal, driven by significant demand from the game's community. This announcement signifies the fulfillment of that vision.

At launch, the multiplayer feature will be accessible through the "Experimental" branch on Steam, giving players the chance to experience the new mode firsthand. Concurrently, the team will roll out API updates to support modders in making their mods compatible with multiplayer. After thorough testing, multiplayer will transition from an experimental feature to a permanent part of Teardown.

Looking to the future, Tuxedo Labs has teased that two additional major DLCs are in development, with more information slated for release later in 2025.
