Order 66 Jedi Survivors: Top Ranked

Author:Kristen Update:Oct 25,2025

This month marks the 20th anniversary of Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith, the epic conclusion to the Star Wars Prequel Trilogy. Released on May 19, 2005, this historic film became the final Star Wars installment personally overseen by George Lucas before Disney's acquisition of Lucasfilm seven years later.

While audiences knew Revenge of the Sith would depict Anakin Skywalker's tragic fall to become Darth Vader, many wondered about the fate of other Jedi. The shocking answer came through Order 66 - Palpatine's masterstroke command that turned the loyal Clone Troopers against their Jedi allies. With thousands of Jedi serving during the Clone Wars, logic dictated some would survive - not just those destined to appear in the Original Trilogy.

Among the several dozen Order 66 survivors now established in Star Wars canon, we've ranked the ten most significant. Some met their end shortly after the purge, while others survived deep into the saga's timeline - with a few fates still shrouded in mystery. Regardless, each outlived Palpatine's infamous command to "Execute Order 66."

Our Selection Criteria

For this ranking, characters must have been formally associated with the Jedi Order before Order 66, whether as Padawans, Knights, Masters, or even young Initiates. This excludes figures like Maul or Palpatine, and unaffiliated Force-sensitives like Jod Na Nawood who never received formal Jedi training or visited the Temple.

The case of Asajj Ventress posed particular consideration. Though trained as a Padawan by Jedi Ky Narec during their 20-year isolation on Rattatak, she never visited Coruscant or interacted with the Jedi Council before Narec's death. Combined with her subsequent turn to the Dark Side under Count Dooku, these factors make her official Jedi status ambiguous - hence her inclusion as an honorable mention rather than a ranked entry.
