Hearthstone Battlegrounds Season 8: A Deep Dive into New Content

Hearthstone's Season 8 has arrived, bringing exciting updates to Battlegrounds. New heroes, minions, cards, and features await, alongside significant improvements for seasoned players. Let's explore the highlights!

Trinkets: The New Power-Ups

The core addition is Trinkets. Fifty-six Lesser Trinkets and sixty Greater Trinkets are available, with the possibility of obtaining duplicates. These power-ups are offered on turns 6 and 9, presenting four choices each time. Trinket availability is influenced by your hero and current board composition (Elementals, Dragons, Murlocs, etc.), ensuring diverse options for every strategy.

Marin the Manager: A New Hero

Meet Marin the Manager, the new hero for Season 8. His unique ability allows you to acquire a Trinket a turn earlier than usual, providing a significant strategic advantage.

Minions and Spells: A Roster Refresh

Season 8 involves a minion refresh: 41 minions are removed, while 22 returning favorites and 27 brand-new minions join the fray. Adding to the excitement are two new Tavern spells.

New Cards to Collect

Four new cards have been introduced:

• Free Travel Winner (Tier 2): A 2/2 minion that disappears after surviving combat, rewarding you with a Triple Reward.
• Inspiring Underdog (Tier 4): Buffs your lower-tier minions.
• Lucky Egg (Tier 5): Transforms into a Golden Tier 3 minion.
• Sun Screener (Tier 6): A 10/1 minion granting Divine Shield to your three leftmost minions and your opponent's three leftmost minions.

Marin Resort's Treasure Hunt Event

From August 27th to September 17th, participate in the Marin Resort's Treasure Hunt event. Complete Event Quests to earn a total of 14 packs, including those from the Perils in Paradise and Whizbang's Workshop expansions.
